  • Report #7 The first teams have completed the grueling downhill, single track mountain bike section and are enroute to a more gentle section of trail which is the first section of the regular course. Yellowknife's Robert Krushell and Lethbridge's Greg Wickenheiser decided to head for the finish becoming the first to finish the sport course. The two who have competed together in the past were last seen heading for the pool.

  • Locals describe the scene st CP5TA2 as heaven on Earth. The racers who came through didn't quite look like they'd been through heaven's gate, but they were able to appreciate the views even in their withered state. Evano Masini and Julien Muise were the first to reach the top. Racing together, the pair looked slightly taxed after managing the technical, rocky terrain. They said they were doing alright, but complained someone had put a mountain in their way. Wild Rose was the first team to up followed by Komex Kinetix and, Volker Stevin. Bryon Howard passed through the station followed by a smiley Robert Krushell and Greg Wickenheiser.

  • Report #5 - Debbie Harksen - Team Wild Rose and Stadium Dogs have left CP3. Soloists Paul Martin and Vince Osborne were the first out of CP3 on the way up to Eagle Eye. All teams are off the water and up to CP2. Two soloists took the zipline and decided to opt out - Mark Schaub (128) and Daniel Depoe (129) are on their way back to TA1 to catch a ride back to HQ.

  • Report #4 - Debbie Harksen - Word from CP2-CP3 is that most teams are choosing to take the bypass route due to wait times for the zipline. Team Wild Rose was the first team to CP2 and got onto the zipline. Second place team Volker Stevin chose to take the bypass.

  • Report #3 - Debbie Harksen Kamloops own Valhalla Pure Oufitters were fist out of TA1 leaving at 8:56am after a speedy transition. Volker Stevin from Banff was hot ontheir tail with Team Wild Rose following in 3rd place. The first two soloists Ray Menzies and Bryan Howard left TA1 together, followed by Robert Krushel, Greg Wikenheiser and Evano Masini. Transition staff report racers are cold but all smiles.
